Terms of Use — Via DobroGetica mobile app

These terms set out the rules for using the Via DobroGetica mobile app (Android and iOS). By using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

1. Who operates the app

The app is published and operated by SANSELO GENERAL SRL, registered office in Năvodari, Str. M9 nr. 30D, Constanța County, Romania, tax ID (CUI) 41597616, Trade Register number J2019003106130 ("we").

2. What the app offers

The app guides you along the Via DobroGetica cultural routes in Dobruja: a map, routes, points of interest, audio guides, events and a digital passport in which you collect stamps at the places you visit.

The app is free. Most features can be used without an account.

3. Your account

• An account is optional. It lets you keep your passport if you change phones and set a display name and an avatar.
• Accounts are intended for people aged 16 or over. For children under 16, an account may be created only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
• Use a real email address you have access to and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
• An account is personal and may not be transferred to another person.
• You can delete your account at any time, in the app (Profile → Account → Delete account) or by following the instructions on the Account deletion page.

4. Stamps and the passport

• A stamp is awarded automatically when the app confirms, via GPS, that you are at the point of interest: within the set radius, with sufficient accuracy, at low speed and after a minimum time spent there.
• Stamps are a digital souvenir of your journey. They have no monetary value and cannot be sold, exchanged or transferred.
• We reserve the right to cancel stamps obtained fraudulently, for example by faking your location, and to suspend accounts used for this purpose.
• If we introduce rewards for completed routes, their conditions will be announced separately, in the app.

5. Your safety on the route

The Via DobroGetica routes are mainly travelled by car, on public roads. Please:

• Do not use the app while driving. Set up the route and listen to the audio guides without handling your phone; stop safely if you need it.
• Follow traffic rules, road signs and actual conditions on the ground. The routes in the app are suggestions, not navigation instructions.
• Respect the access rules of each place: opening hours, fees, private property, archaeological sites and protected areas (for example, the Danube Delta or the Măcin Mountains).
• Practical information (opening hours, fees, parking, accessibility) may change. We update it as often as we can, but check it before you set off, especially for remote places.

You travel the routes at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for accidents, damage or inconvenience on the road or at the points of interest.

6. App content

The texts, photos, audio guides, illustrations, seals and design of the app are protected by copyright and belong to us, to the partners of the Via DobroGetica project or to the authors credited in the app. You may use them only for personal, non-commercial purposes, within the app.

You may share images of your stamps and completed routes using the app's sharing feature.

The map uses data © MapTiler and © OpenStreetMap contributors.

7. What you add

• If you upload a profile photo, you confirm that you have the right to use it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Offensive or illegal photos may be removed.
• We may use the messages and reports you send us (for example, a damaged trail marker) to improve the routes and the app.

8. What you may not do

• fake your location or otherwise trick stamp validation;
• copy, scrape or republish the app's content;
• try to access other users' data or disrupt the servers;
• decompile or modify the app, except where expressly permitted by law;
• use the app for unlawful purposes.

If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account.

9. External services and pages

Some features open services provided by other companies: Google Maps or Waze for navigation, and web pages for donations, the shop or information about partners and events. These operate under their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for their content, for partners' offers or for events organised by others.

10. Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the app working properly and its information accurate, but the app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors, that the GPS signal will always be good enough for a stamp, or that all information is up to date at all times.

We may change, suspend or discontinue app features at any time. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses resulting from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.

11. Personal data

How we process your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page, and we will announce important changes in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. We will first try to resolve any disagreement amicably; write to us at viadobrogetica@sanselo.com. If we cannot reach a solution, the dispute will be settled by the competent courts in Romania, without restricting the rights you have as a consumer.

Translation of the Romanian original. In case of differences, the Romanian version prevails.
